B o a r d i n g

Our pets are our family members; we understand that, and are committed to caring for them and loving them when you can't.

Your dog or cat will be housed in our boarding facility, and will be fed, exercised and entertained just like they are at home.

We can accomodate any length of stay, ranging from a one-day "doggie day care" visit to longer term stays.

Vaccination Requirements

All dogs must have current vaccinations against Rabies, Distemper, Influenza and Bordetella (Kennel Cough). All cats must have current vaccinations again Rabies and Distemper.

Boarding Consent Form

For every boarding stay, a Boarding Consent form needs to be filled out. This form gives us the details of your pet's stay, as well as information regarding their temperament, habits, and general health. On this form you will also specify what food he eats and how often, and what medications he gets, and how often. You are welcome to bring food from home, or else for an added cost of $3/day, we can feed them our own Purina EN food. The form is available online, or can be completed in person when you drop your pet off.

When to Drop-off or Pick-Up

Pets may be checked into or out of our facility Monday through Friday, from 8am to 4:30pm. (This is a half hour before we close. )

Pets may also be checked into or out of out on Saturday or Sunday mornings between 9 and 9:30am or 5-5:30pm. Please note it will not be possible to pick up outside these hours on the weekends! Our employees have many boarders to tend to, and we want them to be able to enjoy their weekends too.

We do not allow pick-ups or drop-offs on holidays.

Health and Behavioral Concerns

Soon after the pet has been dropped off, trained staff will give him a brief physical exam. We are most concerned with seeing that their skin is healthy, they are free of fleas, and that they don't have any respiratory problems. If any problems are observed, we will notify you by telephone. Any animal with evidence of fleas will be treated with a preventative specified by their owner on the boarding consent form.

We love taking great care of our boarders, and because of the hands-on nature of our facility, we are unable to board dogs who are aggressive or fearful to the point of not letting our staff handle them.

Boarding Extras

These additional boarding services are available for an additional fee:

"Walk Around Town": Your pet is treated to an approximately 15 minute walk around town. This is one-on-one with our kennel staff, or if he has a friend staying at EVC, they can go together.

"Play Time": If your dog is a particular fan of fetch, or brushing, or anything else, we'll be happy to endulge for 15 minutes. This is an opportunity to give your friend some extra special attention in your absence.
